To get to the understory layer, you need password. Here are the locations of the letters:
T is in Jurassic fort.
R is in the Ultrasaurus Tiki Lounge
E is in croc peninsula
E is in Camposaurus Tent
T is in Secret temple
O is in Rolling Hills Chamber
P is in Bucklands Peak
Now go to forest floor and enter the password: treetop. You can now go to Under story layer where you can see the new pets.
